Job Description

Seeking an experienced ASIC Test Engineer to develop and execute advanced testing strategies for ASICs, particularly in automotive and space environments. This role involves reliability testing, qualification processes, and performance analysis of semiconductor components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust test methodologies for ASIC validation, focusing on automotive and space-grade components.
  • Conduct reliability assessments, including High-Temperature Operating Life (HTOL) testing, and interpret results using failure rate analysis models like the bathtub curve.
  • Perform qualification and evaluation procedures for semiconductor devices such as DC-DC converters, PLLs, ADCs, and DACs.
  • Optimize signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in semiconductor evaluations to enhance measurement accuracy.
  • Design and carry out tests for key parameters in Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) circuits, with an emphasis on jitter performance.
  • Analyze component durability under various stress conditions to ensure long-term reliability.
  • Collaborate with the photonics team to expand testing capabilities in this area.
  • Work with probe cards and test sockets, understanding their application in both high-volume manufacturing and validation phases.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement β€œtest-on-continue-on-fail” methodologies when required.
  • Evaluate and interpret Capability Index (CP) and Process Capability Index (CPK) metrics to ensure process quality.
  • Characterize ASICs and high-power semiconductor components.
  • Stay informed on emerging semiconductor technologies, including chiplet integration and its impact on testing and design.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Electronics, Nano-Technologies, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in ASIC testing or a closely related field.
  • Strong professional communication skills in English, with Dutch as an added advantage.
  • Expertise in semiconductor failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience testing high-power components, preferably exceeding 1000W.
  • Awareness of chiplet technology and its role in semiconductor advancements.
