Test Engineer II / QA Test Engineer / Software Test Engineer

Test Engineer II will be responsible for providing technical expertise for Testing activities. This includes providing solutions on all testing related processes. Contributing on cross functional teams to set testing standards and guidelines. Assisting DevOps, Automation and Build and Configuration engineers to implement testing best practices throughout the entire development pipeline. Promote testing processes and testing tools and the adoption of these throughout IT. In addition, assist with efforts to extend the current automation and test management framework. Participate in the decision making process with all levels of IT including management, as well as on project teams and make recommendations to effect change.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
Experience: 4 - 6 years - or Associates Degree equivalent plus 6 - 8 years.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Familiarity with testing tools used throughout the industry
· Knowledge of engineering testing procedure and execution.
· Ability to design and implement testing that ensures quality functionality and reliability.
· Experience with working in an Agile environment and driven testing culture.
· Proven analytical, decision making, and problem solving abilities.
· Proven ability to recommend complex technology solutions, frequently involving unfamiliar platforms and systems.
· Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts, both written and verbally.
· Proven ability to perform in a consulting role on the application, integration, and implementation of technologies.
· Ability to work with teams and/or individuals from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
· Experience with the company development platforms preferred.
· General understanding of project management fundamentals and working knowledge of System Development Methodology.
· Proven ability to provide accurate estimates.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbally.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent listening, negotiating and influencing skills.
· Able to multi-task, manage details, and execute effective follow-through.
· Proficiency in the use of desktop applications.
Demonstrated dependability in a highly dynamic environment.
