This position will work closely with various operations & engineering teams to create and develop innovative solutions via Machine Learning (ML) development for manufacturing test & factory test management
Description
Responsible for leading test & inspection station design, development, and solution via machine learning with excellent reliability and scalability for operations
Responsible for leading all the ongoing factory test & Inspection processes and procedures, for new product introduction from prototype to mass production.
Specifying/implementing test and inspection process control and data collection, detailing all the ongoing test and inspection tasks.
Interact with internal groups at Apple to ensure that tests are being performed adequately and on time. Be the key liaison between our organization and our Contract Manufacturers
This position requires the ability to deal with dynamic and fast-paced environments requiring decision-making with ambiguous information.
Minimum Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5+ years experience in machine learning research or development.
- Proven experience as a design or design validation engineer or relevant engineering experience and background
- Proven experience in modern machine learning pipelines and architectures. Understands data collection, machine learning modeling development, and run-time challenges
- Excellent understanding of statistics and machine learning technologies with hands-on solution experience in manufacturing applications

- Solid understanding of HW/SW architecture and interoperability of a sophisticated system. Fundamental EE knowledge is a requirement
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proficient spoken and written in both English and Chinese
- Proven track record of working in a quickly changing environment, independently and delivering high-quality solutions to tight schedules
- Solid experience in multiple ML areas, including but not limited to parametric data mining, time series analysis and prediction, anomaly detection, image processing and recognition, Large-Language-Model (LLM) tuning, prompt engineering, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agent Framework
