Test Lead

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to oversee and manage the end-to-end acceptance testing processes for our projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing, orchestrating, and managing comprehensive testing activities, ensuring that all systems meet the required specifications and standards before release. This role includes coordinating an existing external testing team and assuring the delivery of high-quality results. Strong stakeholder management skills, a solid understanding of testing best practices, and experience in international environments are essential. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Test Management:
  • Plan, organize, and manage all activities related to end-to-end acceptance testing, including defining testing strategies, developing test plans, and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Lead the coordination of testing efforts across multiple teams and stakeholders, ensuring all testing phases are executed smoothly and on schedule.
  • Establish and maintain test environments, ensuring they are set up and configured according to project requirements.
• Coordination of External Teams:
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of an external testing team, ensuring their activities align with the overall project goals and timelines.
  • Ensure that the external team adheres to the highest quality standards and follows best practices throughout the testing process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and the external testing team, facilitating clear communication and addressing any issues that arise.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including business users, project managers, developers, and external partners, to ensure testing requirements are well understood and met.
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks effectively to stakeholders at all levels, providing clear and actionable reports and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an international environment to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
• Testing Best Practices:
  • Develop and enforce testing methodologies, processes, and best practices, ensuring they are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously assess and improve testing processes to enhance efficiency, coverage, and quality.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior testers and QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
• Test Execution and Reporting:
  • Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring all defects are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that any issues are addressed before deployment.
  • Generate detailed test reports, summarizing the outcomes of testing activities, and present findings to project stakeholders.
• SAP S/4HANA Knowledge (Nice to Have):
  • While not mandatory, familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is advantageous for this role. The candidate should be capable of understanding SAP-specific testing requirements and challenges.
