The Opportunity

As a Test Lead, you’ll take the lead in ensuring the delivery of exceptional technology solutions that underpin the success of our Investment Platforms team. You’ll design and implement robust testing strategies, coach teams to embrace a shared quality mindset, and ensure the reliability and stability of services that truly make a difference to our members’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead quality frameworks tailored to diverse initiatives across the portfolio.
• Define and execute automated test strategies for projects and programs in collaboration with teams and Vendor Partners.
• Take ownership of functional and non-functional testing efforts to meet business goals.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Delivery Leads to embed quality at every step.
• Coach and mentor teams to adopt best practices in agile testing and quality assurance.
• Provide quality assurance for vendor deliverables, ensuring outcomes align with agreed standards.
• Manage test data and oversee environment refreshes, ensuring smooth and reliable operations.
• Actively contribute to the QA roadmap and nurture a strong testing community of practice.
• Build meaningful relationships with global stakeholders and colleagues, fostering open communication and trust.

Technical Skills Required

We’re looking for an experienced Test Lead with the following skills and attributes, but above all this, we are looking for someone with energy and passion for what they do, someone who takes initiative and actively seeks out ways to improve both themselves, and they ways we work:

• Significant experience in testing and QA roles, including time spent in senior or leadership positions (noting that this is not a people management role at this point).
• Expertise in testing methods, tools, and techniques, with a strong track record of delivering quality outcomes.
• Strong knowledge and expertise with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and agile/scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts, ideally with Azure.
• Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to coach, mentor, and inspire others.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for problem-solving in a supportive environment.
• Proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver under pressure.
• Financial services experience, ideally within wealth management.
• Global experience, particularly in Europe, Australia, or Asia.
