Job Description

We are looking for a full-time employee for the position of "automated test developer" in Python and C/C++ for long-term work on projects of the global company Rockwell Automation operating in the field of industrial and business automation. The primary work is the design of test scenarios, their implementation, execution and evaluation. The secondary work is then assistance with the development of the tested application itself.

You will report to Research & Development Team Lead and have hybrid schedule working in Prague, Czechia.

What you will do:

• Design and implement test scenarios
• Debug and troubleshoot issues
• Learn about network communication, especially about Common Industrial Protocol
• Analyze network traffic, e.g. using WireShark tool

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• Routine knowledge of Python 3
• 4+ years of experience with software development
• Focus on code quality
• Basic knowledge of C/C++
• Knowledge of English and willingness to communicate with teams from around the world

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Knowledge of network communication (ISO / OSI model, BSD socket API). Knowledge of some network protocols in the cross section of the ISO / OSI model: Ethernet, TCP, UDP, TLS, DTLS, etc.
• Experience with cross-platform development (at least for Windows / Linux), a great advantage is experience with any embedded RTOS
• Knowledge of CMake, Git, UML
• Meeting with agile development
• Experience with embedded environment (Raspberry Pi, Beagle Board, etc.)
