Job Role- Design Verification Test Engineer - Aerospace Electronics Hardware
Job Location- Irvine, CA
Job Responsibilities:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Test Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and specifications for verifying aerospace electronic hardware, ensuring compliance with aerospace safety and quality standards (e.g., DO-254, DO-178C, MIL-STD-810).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Design Verification: Design, execute, and evaluate test cases for complex electronic systems, including avionics, flight control systems, navigation systems, and other critical aerospace components.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Test Automation & Tools Development: Develop automated test scripts, test benches, and tools to optimize verification processes and improve testing efficiency. Utilize advanced testing platforms (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Failure Analysis & Debugging: Perform root cause analysis on test failures, collaborating closely with design engineers to identify and resolve issues in hardware, circuitry, or firmware.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Simulation & Modeling: Utilize simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing to verify hardware functionality under realistic conditions, including stress testing, environmental, and power conditions.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Certification Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of certification testing in compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA, RTCA DO-254, DO-160), and contribute to the generation of certification documentation.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure complete product verification and support integration testing.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Documentation & Reporting: Generate detailed reports on test procedures, results, failure analysis, and recommendations. Ensure thorough documentation of test processes for compliance and audit purposes.
Required Qualifications:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Education: Bachelor鈥檚 or Master鈥檚 degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience: At least 6-8 years of experience in electronics design verification testing, with a focus on aerospace or highly regulated industries (aviation, military, etc.).
Technical Expertise:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Strong knowledge of aerospace electronics systems (avionics, flight control, communication systems, etc.).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Proficiency in industry-standard test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Hands-on experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Test Stand).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Familiarity with aerospace industry standards (e.g., DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, FAA/EASA certifications).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Simulink, PSpice, or similar).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Understanding of hardware/software integration and debugging methodologies.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware systems, identify failures, and propose actionable solutions.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting test results, creating reports, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail when performing tests, analyzing results, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience with RTCA DO-178C (software), DO-254 (hardware) certification process.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Knowledge of environmental testing (temperature, humidity, shock, vibration).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience with aerospace system integration and testing (e.g., HIL, system-level testing).
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
