Test Manager

On behalf of our client, a pioneer in cloud-connected IoT technology, we seek an exceptional SQA Manager to lead their embedded systems quality assurance team. You'll become the strategic cornerstone of their quality initiatives. You'll build and lead a team that ensures flawless performance across their entire portfolio of IoT devices. Responsibilities:

Drive Measurable Quality Improvements: Our client needs you to cut critical firmware defects by 30% within your first 6 months. You'll implement sophisticated testing approaches that substantially reduce customer-reported issues and boost first-time pass rates for new firmware releases from 65% to an industry-leading 90%.

Transform Testing Through Automation: You'll revolutionize their testing approach by expanding automated coverage from 40% to 75% within 9 months. By crafting intelligent automation strategies, you'll slash manual testing requirements while cutting overall testing cycles by more than a third - keeping quality high while accelerating time-to-market.

Lead and Innovate: Beyond technical expertise, you'll introduce breakthrough testing methodologies that fundamentally improve defect detection. You'll eliminate QA bottlenecks and cultivate a high-performing team through mentorship and knowledge transfer. We're looking for someone who can create alignment across hardware, firmware, and product teams.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of embedded QA experience with demonstrated expertise in:

  • Developing comprehensive test strategies across multiple testing dimensions
  • Leading QA teams working on Linux-based embedded systems
  • Implementing automation within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins)
  • Advanced debugging using industry tools (GDB, JTAG, hardware debuggers)
  • Python and Bash scripting for test automation
  • Agile methodologies and Jira workflows
  • Experience with AWS technologies, test management tools, and IoT devices will distinguish exceptional candidates.
