Infinera is looking for an intern to join the Optical Hardware Design team. The Optical Design team is responsible for designing the optical line equipment that spans between the optical transmitter and receiver, including integration with line modules at terminal sites. It is part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Optical, Hardware, FPGA, and Firmware engineers. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to all the different functions within the broader cross-functional team and take part in the development activities of Infinera’s industry leading optical system in capacity and reach, including Infinera’s ICE7 and next generation ICE platforms. Your primary functions would be to assist the Lead Engineers in Optical Design Verification Test (ODVT) and Optical Integration Test (OIT) during the product development cycle and ensuring the products perform to specifications.

The list of applicable countries in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2 may be updated by the U.S. government from time to time. The current processing time for an export control license is approximately 4 to 6 months.
Your employment or engagement with Infinera shall be contingent on verifying your eligibility or requirement for obtaining a necessary license and/or authorization from the appropriate agency.
