Position: Post Sale Default QA Analyst

 

Location: Austin, TX

 

Pay: 50k-70k depending on  experience.

 

Position Summary:

The Post Sale Default In-Line QA Coach reports to the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Manager and acts as a liaison with the Bankruptcy and Foreclosure Manager and the REO, Claims, and Accounts Payable Analysts “team” to provide quality review results and coaching when needed. The primary role of the In-Line QA Coach is to manage various timelines to ensure timely completion and quality of late-stage default processes. Conducts all audit reviews in adherence to all applicable investor timelines. Performs all duties in accordance with company guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Manages audit portfolios through the current late-stage default processes and works with the team to ensure resolution of audit findings. Develops department procedures and job aids to assist the team in maintaining quality performance. The In-Line QA Coach will be able to properly coordinate all work assignment timelines on multiple projects, by managing time constraints and prioritizing accordingly. 

Responsibilities

  1. Audits and Performs business unit testing to ensure Default Claims, Accounts Payable, and REO processes adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and investor or insurer guidelines.
  2. Evaluates processes and analyst performance against legal precedents to identify and alleviate potential losses either monetary, or timeline in nature.
  3. Resolves complex issues involving audit inefficiencies and updates policies and procedures as applicable.
  4. Assists with the creation of department reports and scripts to efficiently manage timelines and effectiveness.
  5. Audits accounts for errors or inaccuracies and corrects/updates accounts while documenting account accordingly.
  6. Inspects payment histories, reconciles payment ledgers, and validates invoices for amounts provided in default claims.
  7. Completes invoicing audits for 20% of all Bankruptcy and Foreclosure invoices approved and/or denied for payment.
  8. Examines all recently activated REO workstations against the Foreclosure Sale Bidding Instructions / Sale Results to determine accuracy.
  9. Assists Management with the completion of monthly, quarterly and yearly vendor scorecards.
  10. Performs bi-weekly coaching with each Analyst to discuss and resolve loan level audit findings.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Has knowledge of all Default Servicing processes up to and including Bankruptcy, Foreclosure Loss Mitigation, Conveyance and Claims in addition to mortgage servicing state, federal and agency guidelines and timelines;
  2. In depth knowledge of MSP, with at least (2) years recent experience working with MSP;
  3. 2-3 years banking operations, auditing, or bankruptcy/foreclosure legal experience
  4. Demonstrates a functional knowledge of federal bankruptcy and foreclosure law, as well as specific state and local jurisdiction requirements.
  5. Functional knowledge of mortgage servicing restrictions and guidelines
  6. Functional knowledge and mastery of bankruptcy and foreclosure terminology.
  7. Functional knowledge of RESPA/Investor/Insurer/CFPB/FCRA guidelines and regulations
  8. Working knowledge of Federal bankruptcy and foreclosure code and laws
  9. Strong analytical skills and decisive decision-making skills
  10. Ability to interact at a professional level with customers and attorneys
  11. Must be detail oriented and have excellent time management and organizational skills;
  12. Ability to meet time constraint deadlines while working under pressure;
  13. Handles simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment;
  14. Able to work independently and in a team environment;
  15. Robust business writing and business math skills;
  16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  17. Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite, MS Visio and MS SharePoint.
