About the role:

We are looking for someone who has a strong background in Wide Band Gap, specifically on SIC, GaN, IGBT or Power modules. A test engineer who has been part of the development of test solutions for said products. Familiar with Test Equipment and the testing methodology.

What you will do:

  • Conduct market scans and benchmarking on Test equipment, best practices, breakthrough solutions, new tools, capabilities and/or test methods

  • Lead site and cross-factory pilot R&D Test projects that would result in significant test cost reduction, enhanced product quality and higher productivity

  • Lead and organize cross-site subject matter expert meetings to ensure adherence to the Equipment Life Cycle Management process, best practice sharing, equipment selection and total cost of ownership discussions

  • Be accountable for executing tasks according to plan, find solutions to keep the project on track, and escalate technical and execution issues timely

  • Act as subject matter expert on Wide Band Gap testing methods and test solutions

  • Provide technical consultation or render onsite solutions to external manufacturing and/or Nexperia sites based on expertise and competence

  • Project coordination and management of assigned collaborative initiatives with Nexperia internal engineering teams, Package R&D, Business group engineers, and other teams in Technology & Operations

  • Maybe ask to conduct pieces of training within competency to other SME's

  • Work with suppliers/vendors in professional manner to introduce new equipment, capability or technologies in testing

  • Provide weekly progress reports on activities, attend user group meetings and supplier product presentations



What you will need:

Education/Qualifications

  • Graduate of Engineering Courses in Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing or other related courses

  • Strong fundamentals in WBG, SIC, GAN, and Power modules testing

  • At least 10 years of experience working in a semiconductor company under Final Test or Wafer Test (Test Engineering, Wafer Probing, Test Development, Product Engineering)

  • Familiar with various Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test handlers for WBG.

  • Familiar with Data Analytics and its tools e.g. GR&R, Spotfire

  • Knowledgeable with semiconductor assembly and test process.

Soft skills

  • Strong influencing skills

  • With strong English communication and presentation skills, Chinese speakers will be an advantage

  • Leadership skills (leading cross-functional international teams driving improvement projects across different locations), self driven and can formulate initiatives with less supervision.

  • Attention to detail and good reporting skills

  • Strong problem-solving, critical judgment, conceptualization, and research skills with attention to details

The team you will belong to, is a team of experts located in different sites. You will be working with the Test technical community.

Good to know:

You would be expected to be available to travel at least 15-20% of the time to do scouting, attend expositions, visit suppliers, and also collaborate with factory engineers onsite.
