Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a solid understanding of power electronics, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This position involves developing and executing testing procedures, analyzing data, and ensuring products meet quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and format test requirements. Review and provide constructive feedback on requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee power electronic product verification and validation testing, both internally and externally, with guidance as needed.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation of testing results and schedules. Regularly communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Utilize troubleshooting and debugging techniques to identify root causes of issues, with support from team members.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Ensure testing aligns with product specifications by working closely with project team members.
  • Occasionally travel domestically (12 times annually) to meet customers and support project requirements.
  • Contribute to other departmental activities as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Foundational understanding of embedded controllers, motor control, system testing, and design validation.
  • Proficiency in safe high-voltage practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in product development.
  • Knowledge of motor control software and associated systems.
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other debugging equipment.
  • Familiarity with microcontroller peripherals and systems (e.g., PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, communication interfaces).
  • Knowledge of communication networks (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485) and protocols (e.g., J1939, ISO11783, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with dynamometers and related testing equipment.

Work Environment:
This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently to meet project goals. Occasional travel may be required within the United States.
