Description

Summary: Develops and coordinates activities of engineering division to design, manufacture, and test electronic components, products, and systems by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Write test programs for integrated circuit testing using programming languages for production and characterization.
  • Maintain test systems to insure consistency, accuracy and that repeatability is sustained.
  • Provide technical support to customer engineers.
  • Analyzes and interprets test data and prepares technical reports
  • Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 0 to 1 year of experience in Test Engineer, Product Engineer, Applications Engineer, Intern, or related positions

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment.
  • Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.

Computer Skills:

  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word, Outlook)
  • Some knowledge of database software
  • Programming languages: C/C++, JAVA, Visual Basic
  • Unix/Linux

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • General knowledge - Basic Digital, Mixed-signal devices and electronics components
  • Tools - DVM, Oscilloscope, Soldering
  • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple detailed oriented tasks
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
