Description
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g. defect densities and open defect counts.)
This role plays an important part in our company’s product development process. Candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets customer requirements.
Candidate should have:
- Proven work experience in software development
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Experience in writing, executing and monitoring automated test suites using a variety of technologies including, but not limited to, Cucumber, Selenium, SoapUI.
- Proficiency in Core and Advanced Java.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- BTech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Experience in Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
