Responsibilities

Oracle Retail Demo Services team, within the Retail Global Business Unit – Solution Development Org, is seeking a Retail Planning & Analytics Technical Consultant.

All candidates with the appropriate skills and experience will be considered, though the ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across the Oracle Retail Planning (RPAS), Oracle Science and Oracle Analytics Cloud Solutions, backed by Retail domain knowledge.

The RGBU Demo Services team builds and maintains all our innovative assets, including:

• Omni-Channel, Planning and Enterprise sales demo solutions and demo cloud infrastructure.
• Technology proofs of concept and forward-thinking innovations.
• Oracle and Oracle Partner rich technology integrations.
• Tools for automation and administration of these assets, including container-based virtualization, user admin tools and server scripting
• Technical architecture and sizing for integrations, demo infrastructure, etc.

 

Key Objectives (Learn as you grow)

• Use Oracle Retail Planning Configuration Tools and Oracle Cloud Technology to build composite business processes and innovative customer journeys for demonstration and proof of concept purposes.
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Retail technology, business environments and best practices.
• Understand the RGBU’s product strategy, especially in the areas of technology, cloud adoption and user experience.

 

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and integrate Oracle Retail Solutions to build innovative demonstrations to support Retail sales opportunities, marketing events and key analyst briefings.
• As a Senior Technical Consultant in the RGBU Demo Services team, working in close collaboration with Solution Development, Solution Strategy and Sales Consultant teams, install, configure and integrate Oracle Retail Planning and Analytics solutions to deliver outstanding Oracle Retail demonstrations.
• As technical expert suggests the best technical option to match Sales Consultants’ requirements and identify gaps.
• Support large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions and deep technical knowledge.
• Increase reliability and effectiveness of demonstrations through accurate configuration and testing.
• Innovate our offerings using advanced Technologies such as AI and Machine learning.
• Act as an Oracle Retail Planning and Analytics technical resource and mentor for less experienced Technical Consultants in the team and support trainings for colleagues and internal customers.
• Work is non-routine, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

 

Ideal Skills

• Education - Engineering degree in computer science or equivalent is required.
• 5+ year experience in the Retail sector (Software Vendor, System Integrator, Customer) with a focus on installation, configuration, integration of Oracle Retail Planning (RPAS).
• Demonstrable hands-on experience in Retail Projects with Oracle Retail Planning (RPAS).
• Familiar with Oracle Science Platform, Oracle Analytics and Cloud Architecture.
• Familiar with the principles and practices involved in configuration and testing of software solutions and architectures.
• Familiar with retail planning and optimization processes across fashion, grocery and hardlines.
• Knowledge of Integration between systems via middleware, utilizing components such as APIs; REST/SOAPUI web services.
• Experience of other Oracle Retail Solutions such as Omni Channel and Enterprise is desirable, but not required.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Thorough knowledge of systems, application design and retail business processes.
