Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Quality Manual and systems in line with BRC standards.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality and food safety issues.
- Ensure compliance with supplier approval criteria.
- Supervise and manage QA and Hygiene staff.
- Accurately complete, record, and file all QA records.
- Collaborate with Production Managers and Supervisors to meet production standards.
- Assist in managing technical audits effectively.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when necessary.
- Proactively engage in quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate actively in the HACCP team, updating risk assessments and hazard analysis.
- Collect samples and analyse microbiological results.
- Promptly address customer complaints.
- Manage the equipment calibration schedule.
- Resolve day-to-day quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
- Clean UK/EU driving licence.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a Quality/Technical role.
- Third-level qualification (Degree or HNC/D) in a relevant food-related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in IT and ability to present information concisely.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and positive leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate of Higher Education.
- Experience in quality assurance for at least 2 years.
