Since Bing launched in June of 2009, the search world has changed for the better. We’re helping people break free from search overload and enabling them to make decisions with Bing’s powerful, friendly tools. We’re attracting new users and changing how people think about Microsoft and Search. We have a long road ahead and we need your help! Key to our continued success in this hypercompetitive space is taking enormous volumes of data and turning them into useful, actionable information to drive increased user engagement through great Bing features and improvements. We’re talking petabytes of data about how searches succeed, how they fail, and how we can improve Bing and our partner properties like maps, commerce, travel, and more.

Bing Commerce (http://www.bing.com/shopping) team is looking for highly motivated SDETs. Bing Commerce focuses on the commercial intent queries by providing consumers a great comparison shopping experience.

Are you passionate about solving challenging technical problems that affect millions of users? Do you think big and enjoy driving complex technical projects? Do you like balancing both technical and business requirements to meet customer needs? Do you work well with product leadership team, researchers and with internal/external partners? If so, this may be the right role for you. We are looking for solid SDETs in the Commerce Data Services (CDS) area within Bing Commerce.

This is a KPI driven team and the team is constantly experimenting with innovative ideas to improve these metrics. Primary responsibilities include working closely with the Program Management and Development teams to design, experiment and test new data quality improvement features that directly impact end user shopping experience. Key machine learning algorithms are used to perform product classification, product enrichment, data quality evaluation, products clustering with the goal of transforming unstructured data to semantically rich queryable structured data. Other activities include processing of different feeds from merchants, rapidly updating the index for price/coupons/merchant deals.

The successful candidate will have performed solid test planning and test development for a major feature on a software team through one or more full product cycles and will have a demonstrated ability to function autonomously and demonstrate success in a rapidly changing, aggressive release cycle.
