Job Description

Our direct client is seeking an exceptional individual to join our engineering team and be a QA/tester in their organization.  The ideal candidate is a quality-driven engineering leader with experience working on high performance test teams, have a proven record of cross-group collaboration, and passion for testing and improving test process.  As a Senior Tester, you will work closely with project teams throughout all stages of the development lifecycle to ensure that the products Inviso delivers represent the high standard of quality for which we have become known.  You will also be accountable for driving QA/testing best practices into our project process. 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and contribute to test strategy and architecture

• Advocate for both product and process quality throughout the development process

• Write, review, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure proper test coverage

• Provide estimates for test-related activities

• Provide status on test planning, test execution phases, and issue resolutions

• Review design documents with an eye toward usability and testability

Qualifications

Key Attributes and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality software products and services

• Great leadership skills to work effectively within and across organizations

• Strong technical skills with MS technologies in all tiers.  Preferred areas of focus are Windows 8, .Net services, T-SQL, MS BI Stack, web UIs (Silverlight, HTML5, XAML), and SharePoint

• Experience with validating large volume data flows

• Experience with waterfall and agile project methodologies

• Computer science background, BSCS or equivalent discipline required

• Relaxed, positive attitude under pressure

• Four year degree or equivalent experience

Nice to Have:

• Windows 8 Modern UI testing experience

• Experience testing in an Azure environment

• Teamwork Foundation Server (TFS) experience with test case and build management

• IT operations experience

• Performance profiling
