Software Development Engineer in Test

THE ROLE

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be designing and developing test automation frameworks for the client’s facing applications. This entails devising solutions for proprietary applications and addressing software-related problems to help us build and maintain the client’s growing portfolio of technology solutions. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong developer who is well disciplined in software QA practices with broad experience up and down the technology stack. You will collaborate with engineering team members on development, release planning, and refining our overall software development lifecycle. Staff will also be involved with UI/UX development from time to time and guide the team on best practices for software quality assurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work as part of an agile team to build market-leading digital lending solutions for small businesses nationwide

• Work with Engineering and Product teams to interpret product requirements and acceptance criteria into test requirements and write test plans and test cases

• Work with engineering leads to build and maintain agent-run automated tests that run in conjunction with our builds

• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities

• Execute test cases and provide detailed analysis of test results

• Work closely with Engineering and Product teams, internal customers, and stakeholders to develop and test new features

• Work as part of the technology team to further our efforts around performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation

• Review external solutions and provide technical assessments

• Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years in quality assurance or SDET role
  • Proficient in the use of automated testing skills
  • C # and .Net exposure
  • Soft skills

• Plus Factors:
  • Solid understanding of SQL, experience with Salesforce, prior experience creating test automation framework where none existed
