TITLE:  Software Development Engineer in Test – Commerce Platform

LOCATION:  Prague, Czech Republic - Hybrid

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility:

The software development engineer in test is responsible for development of tests and quality assurance of the application or eco-system of applications. It is an integral part of development team in all phases of the software development lifecycle for new and existing software applications. The position involves daily interaction with other team members and members of other departments within the company to deliver a quality product in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Designs, modifies, implements, and documents functional and performance tests.
• Designs, modifies, implements, and documents mocks of integrated applications.
• Provides estimates of work based on knowledge and experience in a given work area.
• Writes product specifications, designs, and technical manuals.
• Ensures interoperability with third party products, operating systems, and existing software.
• Maintains responsibility of assigned tasks by using experience and knowledge of environment to make development and quality assurance decisions.

Secondary Functions:

• Provides technical and non-technical presentations on the test designs and results.

Team Specifics:

The Menu Management team is a new team working on NCRV’s portfolio of products that enables restaurant staff to service customers at their table with online connection to the cloud back office, improving ordering precision and speed of service while reducing operation cost. The entire solution includes multiple tech stacks, and this team’s focus is on backend services running in GCP/Azure dealing with digital menu management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• Good TypeScript knowledge, Java knowledge is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Quality oriented approach and strong attention to details.
• English language written/spoken at B2 or higher level (CEFR)

Additional skills:

• Knowledge of Playwright or Cypress framework as well as BDD experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Cucumber is a plus
• Public cloud experience (Azure / GCP) is an advantage
• Experience with the Docker is an advantage
• Experience with agile development

Additional requirements:

• EU work and residence permit
