Software Test Manager, Mid

The Opportunity:Β

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software developmentβ€”and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, a test engineering expert who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a Test Engineer on our team, you’ll create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for NETOPS systems, which are software used to perform network operations, management, and security tasks for the Army Tactical Network. You’ll support the development and maintenance of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and Test and Evaluation Strategies (TESs) in accordance with Army test and evaluation guidance, policies, and templates. You’ll collaborate with Army stakeholders, including network engineers, operators, and cybersecurity specialists, to identify and prioritize testing requirements, and coordinate test resources, including equipment, personnel, and facilities, to support test events and ensure successful test execution. You’ll oversee the execution of tests, including identifying defects and reporting results to ensure NETOPS systems meet Army functional or non-functional requirements, and review test reports and lead root cause analysis and corrective action for issues found during testing, ensuring defects are properly identified, documented, and addressed. Additionally, you’ll identify and maintain relevant metrics for assessing success of test and evaluation, and identify or assess recommended improvements or tools to improve test and evaluation efficiency and effectiveness.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong understanding of the Army's tactical network architecture and systems. You'll also need to be familiar with the Army's network modernization efforts. Your knowledge of the Army's tactical network will enable you to develop test plans and test cases that are tailored to the unique needs of the Army's network systems and to collaborate effectively with Army stakeholders and developers to ensure that our software meets their requirements.

This is an opportunity to share your skills with a team as they write the code to test. You’ll also broaden your experience in network operations and management, cybersecurity, and cloud-based technologies while exploring new areas such as automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery that will benefit you, your team, and your client.

Join us. The world can’t wait. Β
