Why we’re hiring a Software Tester? We’re on the hunt for a Software Tester as part of our company’s growth.
Working within the Software Test department, you will be assigned to test teams as required to deliver a range of manual and automated testing assignments covering the diverse range of modern and legacy products across the Instem portfolio and its supporting services.

Who’s Instem? Well, we’re a global provider of bespoke industry leading software solutions and services, which facilitate the pre-clinical, and clinical phases of the drug discovery process. We have over fifteen products in our portfolio, used by over 700 pharmaceutical clients (including all the top 20!)

What are you responsible for?
•Working as the testing authority assigned to one or more software development teams to ensure the requirements for high-quality and timely product delivery are met through rigorous and comprehensive test coverage. Specifically:
a.Designing, developing, and executing test scripts derived from requirements specifications and other design documents.
b.Reporting of test results and associated faults.
c.Personal workload management to ensure delivery within Work Order timelines and costs.
d.Ensuring the Test Team Lead is kept informed of progress as required to ensure accurate management reporting, work allocation and issue resolution and escalation.
•Liaising with Developers, Support Analysts, and other subject matter experts to assist the efficient remediation and re-testing of faults identified during test execution.
•Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently

Skills you’ll need:
Required:
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience working within a team-based environment including a working knowledge of a defined software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Preferred:
• Recognised professional testing qualification e.g., ISEB or ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent.
• Experience of working within teams operating using agile software development methods.
• Experience in developing automated test scripts using one or more recognised proprietary automation tools e.g., Cypress, Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)/Team Foundation Server (TFS), Selenium, HPE Unified Functional Test (UFT).
• Experience of working in a health or life sciences environment including exposure to Good Practice regulations and/or working under a formal quality management framework e.g., ISO9001.
• Practical experience of one or more aspects of non-functional testing e.g., performance or security.
