Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications across multiple platforms. This role will involve designing and executing complex test cases, identifying issues, and working collaboratively with development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Β The Sr. QA Analyst will lead testing efforts, mentor junior team members, and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies. Β  WE DO NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE.

Job duties

Models ethical behavior and executes job responsibilities in accordance with Citizens core values, ethics, and information protection policies.

  • Create, modify and execute functional, integration, regression, and end to end test strategy, test plan and test cases for large and complex applications with high quality.Β 
  • Generate and present test reports including results of testing and product stability while providing recommendations concerning the release of the product.Β 
  • Understand and work on complex data analysis and data profiling.
  • Define, update and enforce the adoption of QA standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Effectively mentor, share knowledge and resolve queries for intermediate and associate level QAs.Β 
  • Actively participate in requirement grooming/elaboration, project estimation and design discussions to conduct end to end test planning.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Agile software delivery framework.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to understand the overall impact of decisions/changes.
  • Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a cross-functional development team, building relationships in order to collaborate and deliver working software.
  • Service oriented, self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to mentor and coach.

Education

  • High School Diploma | GED (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR 3 years relevant experience, OR a combination of college education and relevant experience equivalent to 3 years
  • 6 or more years of experience in enterprise level software testing with web-based application in a large-scale, relational database environment, to include 3 or more years experience in implementing and using a variety of Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • 1 year experience leading Quality Assurance efforts

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Automation tools.Β 
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Soap UI.Β 
  • Knowledge of database concepts including creating, modifying and executing SQL queries.Β 
  • Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance industry.
