Sr. Test Engineer

Job Description

As a Senior Test Engineer at STARZ, you will play a critical role in the development and deployment of our streaming application for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure our users enjoy a seamless and high-quality experience. This role requires a deep understanding of the Apple ecosystem, proficiency with Xcode, and a strong background in testing large-scale consumer-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans for STARZ's streaming application on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV platforms.
• Lead the testing efforts, ensuring the application meets high standards of performance, reliability, and usability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Xcode and other relevant tools.
• Analyze and report on test results, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to the development team.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience testing mobile apps, with at least 2 years solely dedicated to testing on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Experience testing large-scale, consumer-facing apps that utilize in-app purchases and complex user interfaces.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in writing thorough bug reports, testing new functionality, creating test cases, and running regression tests.
  • Experience building and deploying apps to a device through Xcode.
  • Experience installing apps through TestFlight.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., XCTest, Xcode Cloud).
• Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead testing initiatives and mentor junior engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming applications or media content delivery platforms.
• Knowledge of network protocols, video codecs, and DRM technologies.
• Familiarity with Jira.

Compensation

$120,000 - $145,000
