Test Manager

Detailed description of work task to be carried out

We are seeking to fundamentally lift the way we test our entire portfolio of standard applications. There is more than 1.500 and we are looking for ways to test in scenarios related to breakdowns and fail-over.

(This is opposed to business critical apps which are handled elsewhere)

The aim is therefore not primarily functional testing but testing that crashed applications have gone fully operational again. This may include simple ping-test but likely also insurance of all integrations and data.

In addition to scenarios with full fail-over, we also look into smaller scenarios involving a selected subset of applications.

The details of this will be defined in cooperation with this test specialist profile and others.

However, even though some understanding of all involved applications will be necessary in is intractable to come into detail with each application.

The work will be aimed at the internal full-scale fail-over tests which run in autumn.

As such, the role we include analysis and design of tests. Discussions and setup of test framework and approach, involvement in execution and post-execution work on reporting.

Description of knowledge and experience

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with project team and organization to re-think and re-design test approach for all standard applications.
• Develop test methodology and be able to test applications in failover scenario.
• Be involved in test automation

Qualification:

• Adept at analysing test processes and approaches without necessity to go into detail.
• Experience with test in larger organizations perhaps with both decentral platforms (Windows/Linux) as well as central (Mainframe)
• Experience from the financial sector,
• Experience with automation with regards to test. To be able to automate or design automation of repetitive test tasks,
• It is a bonus to have experience with testing and test automation on a level below application, (Platform, infrastructure, etc.). Structured work approach and ability to keep focus on the project goals and value of delivery on time.
